DESCRIPTION:The 17th 76® Birmingham Bowl is set for Saturday, December 23rd. The game will be played at Protective Stadium in Birmingham, Ala., and will feature teams from the Southeastern Conference, the American Athletic Conference or Atlantic Coast Conference. Kickoff is set for noon ET/11 AM CT and will air on ABC. Participating teams will be announced on Sunday, December 3rd.\n“As we prepare for the 17th 76® Birmingham Bowl, we look forward to our third game at Protective Stadium,” said Mark Meadows, 76® Birmingham Bowl Executive Director. “With students out for the holidays and families able to attend together, we look forward to a great turnout and another competitive game right here in Birmingham during the holiday season.”\nSince the game’s inception in 2006, the 76® Birmingham Bowl has generated over $173 million in economic impact for the Birmingham community according to figures provided by the Greater Birmingham Convention & Visitors Bureau. In addition, the 76® Birmingham Bowl has donated over $430,000 to the Monday Morning Quarterback Club in support of its charitable arm, Quarterbacking Children’s Health Foundation.\n
